When we came to our first real beach we stopped for our regular lunch of cheese, apple, corn cakes, bread, nuts and raisins. This day we had the added treat of gluten-free cookies. Peter's feet were not used to carrying a pack over long trails. In retrospect, day 1 pavement was bad!
